We hear XRAY news at the same time everyone else does so we had the same questions you did when we read about the new XRAY T2R PRO on their website. The T2R PRO is based off of the successful T2 touring car line, but it was designed for those RC fans with a limited budget.
We all know how the economy is affecting families and their hobbies so this is welcomed news from XRAY. I think this speaks directly to the level of customer service they provide. XRAY is in the middle of releasing the XRAY T2'009, the latest version of their 1/10th electric on-road touring car, and they offer customers a cheaper alternative. Most companies would wait until they have milked the market before releasing a competing product. Kudos to XRAY.
So the big question is, how much does the XRAY T2R PRO cost? While I was getting pricing and a delivery date for the XRAY T2'009 from RC America, I also asked about the T2R PRO. Ralph Burch said it will cost $300 in the US. For those who can't afford the $505 T2'009 this is an excellent option.
My next question was, when will the T2R PRO be available? Ralph said they expect to get T2R PRO kits in early January. Hopefully, it will be the first week of January.
I'm waiting on XRAY to release more photos and details about the T2R PRO before I can post a preorder page on RC XRAY. When I do I'll announce it on this blog and on my Twitter page.
