XRAY T2'009 Shipping To Distributors?

Team XRAY posted an announcement on their website today that says their new 1/10th electric touring car is shipping to all distributors and fans could expect to see the XRAY T2'009 in their local hobby shop in "the next few weeks". Lastly, the news release mentioned that the "first batch was limited" so XRAY fans should preorder their T2'009.

This is good news. I immediately contacted RC America to get an expected arrival date and pricing information. Here is the response I received from Bryan Chadee.

"Kits are not shipping to RCA yet. We are still working out some details with XRAY, so no kits are on the way quite yet. As they have done previously, XRAY has put those announcements on the web once production has neared its finish, so everyone knows the kits will start shipping soon. As of right now, we do not expect to have '009 kits before some time into December or later."
If you read my first post about the T2'009 then this matches the release date estimated then. Since RC America is still working out the details, they could not provide a price for the new T2'009 either.

The important thing to focus on in XRAY's announcement is this statement.
"The first batch is limited, so make sure to pre-order yours."
As we saw with the XRAY 808 this summer, the initial demand was so great that it took a long time before all of the 808 orders could be satisfied world wide. The 808 is a well-designed buggy for US style tracks and once people saw it at their local track demand only increased. If you want to be certain you'll have your T2'009 during this year's indoor season, you should preorder your T2'009. We are already receiving preorders and the US version has a slight edge over the EU.
