Xtreme RC Cars magazine release their Best of 2008 in the December issue. They actually refer to the awards as X-Best of 2008. These awards are "not a popularity contest" where readers' votes are collected. The Xtreme RC Cars editors choose the winners because they "were outstanding values, had innovative designs, or defined their classes in performance."
With that said, the XRAY T2'008 was awarded Best of 2008 for the 1/10 Electric Touring Car class. Here's what Xtreme RC Cars had to say about the T2'008.
"This was a tough call this year as the competition is stiff, but in the end it became clear. The XRAY T2'008 is refined on both carpet and asphalt and capable of winning in anybody's hands. It is one of the few kits that comes tuned to the surface you run on; whether you need rubber tire or foam tire, there is a kit designed to work better out of the box. Sure it's expensive, but the material quality is the standard, the instructions are simply perfect, and the tuning book and support make other companies jealous. The XRAY T2'008 may not have won the Worlds yet, but its quality and prestige still make it the car people judge all others against."
