The XRAY 808 and XT8 now have another braking option. XRAY has released ventilated graphite carbon brake disks for their 1/8th scale off-road nitro RC cars. The people over at Team XRAY want you to know one thing about these new brake pads though.
"When using this graphite brake disk, it is necessary to use hardened steel brake pads (#354121) by themselves without Ferodo fibre-style brake pads glued to them."Not only do these graphite carbon brake pads fit the 808, they are applicable to the entire XB8 line. They fit the XB8 EC, XB8 TQ, XB8 and XB8R
If you need some new brake pads, the graphite carbon versions will cost you about $15. That's only a dollar more than the standard pads (#354110). Here's the part number.
