We at RC XRAY have been looking forward to the 1/8th scale buggy world championship for awhile now. When I say we, I'm talking about me and my brother. I marked my calendar a long time ago when I heard about it. We are located in Charlotte, NC and the IFMAR 1/8 Scale Buggy Off Road World Championships are going to be held at The Farm II which is also in Charlotte. The Championships will run from September 14th to 21st, 2008. If you would like to see The Farm II, here is Google's last photo of the track.

There are two big reasons why we're looking forward to the Worlds. One, it's in our backyard. Of all the places the 1/8th buggy championships could be, it ends up being just a short drive for us. I plan on capturing as much video and photography as possible.
The second reason is we're interested in seeing how the XRAY 808 will do. XRAY's new 1/8th scale off-road nitro buggy was designed for US tracks. When Juraj Hudy was testing his design, he brought it to Charlotte to see how it performed. This was during the first Worlds Warm-Up in October 2007. The second Worlds Warm-Up is next week and will be held in conjunction with Summer Nitro Fest. It runs from July 16 - 20, 2008.
